MOCK SALMON PATE
Think living an alkaline high raw foods lifestyle is boring? Try mock salmon pate!
Once I learned how to beat my stage IV cancer without traditional protocols, this way of living became our way.
Raw food recipes can be so delicious and easy, as well as healthy.
Although I include nut recipes as an exception, I do enjoy them. This particular mock salmon pate is mouth watering and very versatile. Use it in a wrap, with crackers or raw veggies, over a salad and anything you can think of. Sometimes I will simply take a piece of endive or romaine to use as a boat and add the pate topped with sprouts and/or veggies. What can be easier than that?
Being leafy-greens, scallions naturally contain more plant-derived antioxidants, and dietary fiber than their fellow allium members like onions, shallots, etc. 100 g fresh spring onions provide 2.6 g or 7% of daily-recommended levels of fiber.
Sea salt is created naturally as ocean water evaporates. Sea salt contains minerals that table salt does not contain naturally, including iron, iodine, sulfur and magnesium. Sea salt also does not contain some of the unnatural ingredients that table salt contains. Sea salt is mined from protected shore areas in areas created specifically for the mining of sea salt.
Equipment: Food Processor
- 2 cups walnuts or sunflower seeds
- 1 scallion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 stalks celery
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor until smooth
- This delicious pate can be served as, in a wrap , over a salad or with crackers
- Sometimes I make celery or endive boats
- Terrific to spoon on raw veggies sliced like cucumbers
